Hey, I am Simon Jokuschies

My passion is programming and compositing. I am the founder of cragl vfx tools and pixiliti, a creative network. Currently, I live in Germany and work as a Senior Software Engineer at ScanlineVFX.

Since I was a child, I had always been fascinated about programming, photography and film and the magic of combining and manipulating images. Having decided very early to live my passion and what I love, I studied a media degree at the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck. I did a study abroad at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand where I gained a broad knowledge of media production. In 2012 I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Design. Over the years I have put my focus on programming and compositing. I have been programming for over 20 years using multiple programming languages like Python, c++, PHP, Java, html, css, js and jQuery. Besides, I love teaching. I have tought compositing several semesters at University, have written several technical papers about Python and Nuke workflows in the Digital Production and have tought several courses on Digital Tutors / Pluralsight and Rebelway.
